Overview
Neurafy wins work through proposals — detailed, specific documents that demonstrate genuine thinking about a prospective client's situation. That quality was a real competitive advantage. The time it required had become a real constraint on growth.
Each proposal took two to three days of a senior consultant's time. With a lean team and a strong pipeline, the maths didn't work — they couldn't take on more clients without first solving how long it took to win them.
Challenges
Every proposal started from scratch, drawing from an informal library of past work spread across multiple Drive folders with no consistent naming and no reliable way to find the most relevant material quickly.
Consultants spent as much time locating and reformatting existing content as writing original thinking. Their resistance to templating was legitimate — Neurafy's proposals worked precisely because they felt considered, and anything that made them feel like a mail merge would have destroyed the thing that made them valuable.
